Rewarded for f!#cking up!

I guess it is just par for the course in Bush's America that CEOs get big rewards even when they screw up major. Even with this knowledge of our current state as BizarroWorld(TM), it still messes with my mind. On the local Hawaii front we have CEO Clint Arnoldus (I'm not making this sh!t up), who lost millions for Central Pacific Bank and yet was handed $5 million upon leaving the company...this is over five times his last annual pay (2007). Mike Ruley (again, these names are real) lost millions for Hawaii Telecom and yet they gave him over a million bucks in bonuses when he was ousted. Besides this craziness is the simple fact that CEOs make too much money for anyone's good. In Hawaii, the average CEO make 29 times the median income. I'm sorry. No one works that much harder than anyone else. In fact, I'd say that some of the worst paid people on Earth, work much harder than most CEOs have ever worked.
